Job Type: Full-Time/Part-time (All positions are permanent)

Schedule: Must be available to work split shifts, holidays, evenings, and weekends as required.

Wage: $16.00 to 19.00 hour depending on experience

Additional Compensation: share of gratuity

Benefits: Optional extended medical benefits with company contribution after 1 year of employment (full-time positions only). Vacation pay of 5.77 % as per Saskatchewan Employment Standards. Free parking available.

Role:
As a Line Cook at Filosophi, you will prepare and execute dishes with precision, consistency, and care. You will work closely with our kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals, maintaining a clean and organized workstation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in crafting excellent food.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals for customers by following recipes and maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients, checking all food items for freshness before use.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other menu components as needed.
- Arrange and garnish dishes neatly and attractively before serving.
- Work efficiently under pressure to complete orders within set time limits.
- Maintain a clean kitchen area, ensuring equipment, prep stations, and utensils are sanitized regularly.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of shortages or supply needs.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned to support smooth daily operations.

Job Requirements:

Professional Requirements
- At minimum, must have a culinary diploma/certificate or at least 1 year of commercial cooking experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout a 3 to 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs
